BOYS
Gavin Dann
(16) 2nd year rep. Had a great debut in
2007 by winning the singles.A player with a ton of talent who can go far in the
sport of darts if he so chooses.
Jamie Miles
(17)
2nd year rep. Played extremely well in his debut year last Championships.Has
played great darts for the whole of this competitive season and will give his
best in this Championship.
Kayne Wyatt (17)
4th year rep. Although he did not produce his best darts at last years
Championships has played some top games since and played to a high standard in
the Junior trials.Is determined to do well in his last year.
Jordan Garland
(17) 1st year rep. Has trialled on
several occasions and has just missed the final selection each time.Played well
in the trials and showed he was determined to grab this last chance.
Josh Dann (16)
1st year rep.Has worked hard and improved heaps this year. Has the ability and
natural talent to play well in these
Championships.A quieter version of his cousin Gavin.
GIRLS
Kirsten
Nunn
(17) 6th year rep.A player who has always given it her best shot for
W.A. over the past 6 years. Will do so again at this Championship.
Tarmeka Nestor
(17) 4th year rep. A player who always
lifts her level of play when playing in a higher standard game. Stays cool calm
and in control.
Krissy
Smith
(14) 3rd year rep. Has improved again
this year both at Junior and Senior level.Was W.A.’S steadiest player in the
Championships last year and will want
to lead the way again this year.
Jucinta Dann
(14) 1st year rep. An all round sports
person who slots darts in with her other sports (mainly basketball, at which she
excels). Like her brother Gavin and cousin Josh, has natural talent and should
do well.
Teagan
Wyatt
(14) 1st year rep. An improving left
hander who has only taken the game seriously in the last few months. Loves to
organise people and other things. Will accept the challenge and run with it.
Officials
Betty Hislop
26th
Junior Championships. This year saw her great grandson start Juniors so that is
an indication of her age and involvement in the sport. Believes the future of
the Sport needs Juniors coming through and works towards that at all times.
Kerry West
5th
year in this position. Keen to keep the Junior group going and is always there
to organise competitions and give guidance.
