With the conclusion
of the
Australian Championships Western Australia
was named Champion
Darts State.

Amassing a
total of 330
points. This is the
seventh occasion
that Western
Australia has won
this honor, the last
time being in 2006.
Queensland was
second and Victoria
third.
Final Points:

The Men threw 294 x
180's during the
week while the
Ladies 38. Topping
the list was Tony
David with 19 and

Janine Pink (left) holds her "170" badge. Jannine got the perfect peg playing for the South Suburban Ladies in Division 2 at the recent Ladies Metro Championships. Janine became the first female in 35 years of the Ladies Inter-Association darts in Western Australia to achieve a 170 peg-out. Well done Janine! |

At 17 years old Michael van Gerwen became the youngest winner of a major darts event when he beat England captain Martin Adams at the Winmau World Masters in Bridlington. In an amazing turn around the 17-year-old from the Netherlands trailed 5-2 before reeling off five straight sets for a 7-5 win.

The Darts Federation of
Australia payed homage to Betty Hislop by awarding her with DFA Life
Membership at the 2004 Annual General Meeting in Canberra. Her nomination
came from the WADC who recognised her contribution at all levels over a
long period of time
